SACRE means Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education and is made up of representatives from the council, local religious and teachers' organisations.
Our goal is to excite, enthuse and raise interest in the subject of RE by supporting teachers of RE across Wirral(in both Primary and Secondary Schools). Our Members will be ambassadors and advocates for RE by raising the profile of Wirral SACRE and (improving the image) promoting the importance of RE) so that RE is seen as an exciting and interesting curriculum subject and one chosen voluntarily at GCSE and A level by students in the majority of Secondary schools across Wirral.
